Maple Syrup Glazed Pecans

These maple syrup glazed pecans are great for mixing in breakfast cereals or topping salad.

  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups raw pecans
  • a pinch of salt


  1. Melt butter in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add maple syrup and cinnamon. Stir to combine.
  3. Mix in pecans and salt.
  4. Lower heat to medium-low. Cook while frequently stirring until maple syrup crystallizes, turning to a powdery texture. It took me about 15 minutes.
  5. Spread glazed pecans on parchment paper until they are cooled down.
  6. Slip a cutting board under the parchment paper and cut the pecans into smaller pieces.
  7. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
